Matt is a HCPC registered podiatrist & sports scientist with extensive knowledge & experience in running from both a performance & injury perspective. He is an expert in running footwear & assessment & has a specialist interest in the effect of fatigue on running performance & injury.
Matt is a competitive runner with over 25 years running experience & has competed over cross country, on the track & roads. He has run at county, regional & national level with a half marathon personal best of 1hr 13min.
Run Lab Clinics was set up in 2017 with an aim of providing an evidence based approach in the assessment & management of foot & ankle pain, running injuries & bespoke training plans for distances of 5km up to marathon distance. The clinic has helped individuals involved in both professional & recreational sport as well as those with every day foot & ankle pain.
In 2020 Matt was selected to be part of the Phits clinical advisory panel, a select team of UK based podiatrists & orthotists to assist in the development of Phits custom foot orthoses.
