Musculoskeletal podiatry specialises in the assessment, diagnosis & management of muscle, joint, tendon & ligament injuries of the foot, ankle & lower leg
With 26 bones, 33 joints & over 100 muscles, tendons & ligaments the foot is highly complex structure & when optimal function is compromised this can lead to pain & eventual breakdown & injury. We provide an evidence based approach & aim to identify the likely cause of injury & provide the solutions you need to help you recover & minimise the risk for further injury.
Our clinical assessment provides a detailed history of your presenting problem & can include assessment of joint range of motion, muscle strength, balance, foot pressure with RS Scan, which provides precise plantar pressure measurements, allowing accurate analysis of the foot during locomotion & if required 2D gait analysis.
